Engineering Manager AI & Automation

estaie is the world’s first AI-native extended-stay accommodation platform, redefining how flexible living is priced, personalized, and operated.

We are building an AI-driven layer that connects hospitality, fintech, and data intelligence powering dynamic pricing, agentic lead generation, smart inventory orchestration, and autonomous operations across global markets.

Our mission: to make long-stay travel frictionless, intelligent, and financially optimized  for operators, corporate bookers, and digital nomads alike.

We are now looking for an Engineering Manager who is both architect and craftsman, someone who codes, reviews, deploys, and leads by example while scaling a globally distributed team that builds at the intersection of AI, automation, and high-availability systems.

As Engineering Manager, you will:
 

• Architect, lead, and build the end-to-end technology stack powering estaie’s global platform  from APIs and data pipelines to AI-driven automation.
  
  
• Stay hands-on: You’ll code (Python, TypeScript, SQL), review PRs, mentor engineers, and set the engineering bar for quality and scalability.
  
  
• Translate vision into architecture: Partner with the CTO and AI leadership to design systems that support multi-region deployments, dynamic pricing models, and agentic automation pipelines.
  
  
• Drive technical strategy: Balance quick iteration with robust system design , applying microservice principles, event-driven patterns, and CI/CD excellence.
  
  
• Oversee integrations: Design and maintain scalable integrations with booking channels, communication platforms, fintech gateways, and internal automation tools.
  
  
• Champion reliability and observability: Own uptime, security, and performance across multiple regions and environments (Cloudflare WAF, CI/CD pipelines, logging, tracing, Statsig experiments).
  
  
• Mentor and scale engineering culture: Coach engineers on architecture, clean code, and data-driven decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, automation, and measurable impact.

What You Bring

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years leading technical teams in high-growth SaaS or platform environments.
• Proven track record of shipping complex products across frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Deep hands-on skills in Python, TypeScript, SQL, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred).
• Understanding of ML workflows and prompt orchestration (Vertex AI, LangChain, or custom LLM pipelines).
• Strong grounding in software design patterns, CI/CD automation, and microservice scaling.
• Experience managing a remote, distributed team , with high accountability and async collaboration culture.
• Bias for action: you debug, document, automate, and measure.
• You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and care deeply about building products that work, not just systems that run.
